Accessibility statement
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This statement applies to boxtick.uk, run by The Programme Group Limited, trading as BoxTick. When the BoxTick platform opens, we will extend it to cover the platform too.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone who visits boxtick.uk to be able to use it, including people who use assistive technology, people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments, and people with low digital confidence.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most widely used in the UK. We also take our duties under the Equality Act 2010 seriously, including making reasonable adjustments for anyone who has difficulty using our website or services.
2. What you should be able to do
- Zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen.
- Move around the whole site, including our enquiry forms, using just a keyboard, with a visible marker showing where you are on the page.
- Use the site with a screen reader, such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver, and with speech recognition software.
- Use the site on a phone in portrait or landscape without losing content.
- Read content written in plain English, with clear headings and descriptive links.
- Complete our forms without time limits, with labels on every field and clear messages if something needs correcting.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability, at mcmw.abilitynet.org.uk.
3. How accessible this website is
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. The checks described below have not identified an accessibility barrier, but they do not establish full conformance. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
Known issues: No accessibility barriers were reported in the checks described below. Other issues may remain, including in states we have not tested. If you find a problem, please tell us.
Documents: Our legal pages, including this statement, are web pages rather than PDFs, so they work with assistive technology and can be enlarged or reflowed. If we publish any PDF or other document on the website in future, we will make it accessible or offer an accessible alternative on request.
How we tested this website: We last tested this website on 24 October 2026. Testing covered the home page, the enquiry and scan forms, and all legal pages, and included automated checks using axe and Lighthouse; keyboard-only navigation of every page and form; zoom to 400% and text spacing changes; checks of colour contrast against WCAG 2.2 level AA; and manual testing with screen reader and voice control software.
Assistive-technology checks: A site user reported that the guided checks passed using Windows Narrator and Windows Voice Access in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11. These covered the home scan steps and invalid-input errors; opening and closing the partner and pilot dialogs; legal-table navigation and cell headings; and the unsubscribe page without a token. These were user-performed checks of the development preview, not an independent audit or agent-operated tests. Exact browser and assistive-technology versions were not recorded.
The initial checks avoided valid lead submissions and email sending. In a follow-on report recorded on 25 October 2026, the user confirmed that all four form flows worked with Narrator and Voice Access in an isolated, non-sending fixture, including failure and successful retry. This covered scan, partner and pilot enquiries and simulated valid-token unsubscribe processing, without creating real leads, sending email or changing real suppression records. These were user-reported results, not an independent audit. Exact versions, spoken transcripts, focus observations and request counts were not supplied.
The same user also reported that the guided checks were completed and working with VoiceOver in Safari on iPhone and Mac. The checklist covered scan invalid-input errors; partner and pilot dialog containment, dismissal and focus return; legal-table header navigation; and unsubscribe without a token. This was an overall user confirmation: device models, OS and software versions, individual announcements and recordings were not supplied. These results were not independently observed.
The Apple checks did not cover successful lead submissions, sending or success messages, or unsubscribe processing with a valid token. Their guided procedure avoided valid lead submissions and email sending. Edge Read Aloud was also reported to work, but was not counted as a screen-reader interaction test. No NVDA results are claimed.
This statement was prepared on 24 October 2026 and will be reviewed at least once a year, and whenever we make significant changes to the website.
