Cookie notice
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. In short
- If you visit boxtick.uk to read about BoxTick or send us an enquiry, we do not set any cookies on your device.
- We do not use advertising, social media, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, or similar technologies such as tracking pixels.
- The only cookies on this website are essential sign-in cookies, used when named members of our team log in to manage enquiries.
- Because of this, we do not show a cookie banner. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
2. What cookies are and the rules that apply
Cookies are small files that a website places on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, store or read information on your device in the same way. In this notice, “cookies” includes these technologies.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), a website must ask for your consent before setting cookies, unless the cookie is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, or falls within another exemption set by law. The essential sign-in cookies described below are strictly necessary, so they do not need consent.
This notice is provided by The Programme Group Limited, trading as BoxTick and The Programme Group. Our privacy notice explains how we use personal information more generally.
3. Cookies we use
Public visitors
None. Reading the website and submitting an enquiry form does not place any cookies or other information on your device. The details you type into our forms are sent securely to our server when you submit them; they are not stored in cookies or in your browser's local storage.
Our team's sign-in cookies (strictly necessary)
When a named member of our team signs in to manage enquiries, our sign-in provider, Clerk, sets cookies to keep their session secure. They are only set for people who sign in, and they hold sign-in and security information only, not anything entered in an enquiry form.
The exact names and lifetimes are controlled by Clerk and may change.
4. Fonts and other third-party content
The public pages do not load content from other companies' servers while you browse them. Our fonts, Geist and Geist Mono, are served from boxtick.uk itself, so your browser does not contact Google or any other font provider. Team sign-in uses Clerk's secure sign-in service, as described above. The fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1: read the Geist licence and the Geist Mono licence.
The website contains links to other websites, such as the Information Commissioner's Office. If you follow a link, that website's own cookie policy applies.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because public visitors do not receive any cookies from us, this will not affect your use of the website. If our team blocks the sign-in cookies, they will not be able to sign in.
The Information Commissioner's Office explains how to manage cookies at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
6. If we change how we use cookies
If we decide to use any cookies or similar technologies beyond those described above, for example to measure how many people visit the website, we will:
- update this notice before we start;
- ask for your consent first, unless the law allows that type of cookie without consent; and
- where the law allows a cookie without consent, tell you about it clearly and give you a simple way to object.
The date at the top of this notice shows when it was last updated.
